How to get around
Darmstadt is not that big, so walking or cycling can be the best way to get to your destination. If not:
Public transport: RMV is the local public transport with trams and buses. Inside the city one trip costs €2,10. If you are using public transport more than once per day, a day pass is cheaper (€4,20 inside the city, €5,15 for next suburbs). Most of the main lines run every 15 minutes, but the interval goes up to 30-60 minutes in the evening.
You can check your connection at www.rmv.de. You can not only look up connections via bus/tram stop names, but also by typing in the address you want to get to.

Car: We advise against getting around by car – finding a parking spot in the city is usually really difficult, especially in the city center!
Hosting
We will do our best, but can absolutely not guarantee anything! Please check the box in the registration form if you want to be hosted or can host and we will try to match up people. This will entirely depend on how many hosts we can find in Darmstadt.
Other places to stay
Hostel: There is only one Youth Hostel in Darmstadt. As it is part of the Deutsche Jugendherbergsverband, you have to be member of an associated organisation (see the list here).
